Good Times for All

Yesterday I hosted a party at our office for the Skagit Young Professionals group. Many of you know I can socialize pretty easily, but one thing I don’t like doing is those 2 minute “elevator marketing” speeches. What could be a bigger turn off?  Someone starts going off for a whole two minutes rambling about what they do, and why they are so great, and why everyone would be stupid to not work with them.

This party was different though. For a couple of hours we had about 40 people just hanging out with good food, music, and beer. It was so refreshing to be able to get to know people, and that was it. There was no agenda to market yourself.

It’s events like this that will build long lasting business relationships, and the best part is everyone is having a great time.
